This policy applies to:
- Visitors to talivo.app and related marketing pages

4. How We Use Your Information
We use the information we collect to:

- Authenticate users and secure accounts

- Store your jobs, uploads, and analysis results so you can return to them later

5. AI Processing
Talivo uses automated processing, including artificial intelligence, to extract information from resumes, compare candidates to job requirements, and generate rankings and explanations. These outputs are intended to assist recruiters — not to make hiring decisions automatically. You remain responsible for reviewing results and deciding which candidates move forward.
6. Your Responsibilities Regarding Candidate Data
If you upload resumes or other information about candidates, you represent that you have a lawful basis to collect and process that information and to share it with Talivo for screening purposes. You are responsible for:
- Complying with applicable employment, privacy, and data-protection laws in your jurisdiction
- Providing any required notices to candidates where applicable
- Only uploading data you are permitted to use for recruiting purposes
- Not uploading unlawful, discriminatory, or unrelated personal information
7. How We Share Information
We may share information only in the following circumstances:
- Service providers that help us run Talivo (see Subprocessors below), under contractual obligations to protect your data
- When required by law, regulation, legal process, or governmental request
- To protect the rights, safety, and security of Talivo, our users, or others
- In connection with a merger, acquisition, or sale of assets, with notice where required by law
We do not sell your personal information or candidate data.
8. Subprocessors
We use trusted infrastructure and service providers to operate Talivo. These may process data on our behalf, including:
- Supabase — authentication, database, and secure file storage
- Vercel — application hosting and delivery
- PostHog — privacy-conscious product analytics
- Calendly — scheduling optional recruiter feedback calls (if you choose to book)
- PayPro Global — Merchant of Record for subscription billing, invoicing, receipts, and applicable tax compliance when you purchase a paid plan
- AI and machine-learning providers — to process resumes and generate rankings when analysis is run
We select providers with appropriate security practices and limit their access to what is needed to provide the service.
9. Data Storage, Security, and Retention
Your data is stored using industry-standard cloud infrastructure with access controls, encryption in transit, and row-level security so users can only access their own jobs and candidates. We retain account and recruiting data while your account is active and for a reasonable period afterward to support backups, legal compliance, and dispute resolution. You may delete jobs and uploaded resumes from within the product; account deletion requests can be sent to us directly.
10. International Data Transfers
Talivo may process and store information in countries other than where you are located, including where our service providers operate. We take steps designed to ensure appropriate safeguards when data is transferred internationally.
11. Your Rights and Choices
Depending on your location, you may have the right to:
- Access the personal information we hold about you
- Correct inaccurate information
- Request deletion of your account and associated data
- Object to or restrict certain processing
- Withdraw consent where processing is based on consent
- Lodge a complaint with a data protection authority
To exercise these rights, contact us at hello@talivo.app.
12. Cookies and Analytics
We use cookies and similar technologies where necessary for authentication, security, and product analytics. You can control cookies through your browser settings. Our analytics are used to understand product usage and improve Talivo — not to sell advertising profiles.
13. Children's Privacy
Talivo is a business tool intended for recruiters and hiring professionals. It is not directed at children under 16, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from children.
14. Changes to This Policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. When we do, we will revise the "Last updated" date at the top of this page. Material changes may also be communicated by email or in-product notice where appropriate.
